- 10th Standard/SSLC plus:
- ITI from recognized institutions in relevant trades (e.g., Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, etc.) OR
- 3-year Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering OR
- Degree in the engineering disciplines mentioned above.
- 10th Standard/SSLC plus:
- Salary: Level-2 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix with a basic pay of ₹19,900 plus standard allowances (DA, HRA, TA, and Running Allowance).
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection process consists of multiple stages:
- CBT-1: Screening test (75 marks) covering Mathematics, General Science, Reasoning, and General Awareness.
- CBT-2: Two parts (Part A & Part B). Part A is for merit; Part B is a qualifying trade test.
- CBAT (Psycho Test): Qualifying aptitude test.
- Document Verification & Medical Examination: Final stages before appointment.
Note: There are reports of a potential change in the merit weightage to 50:50 between CBT-2 Part A and CBAT marks, though official confirmation in the detailed CEN is awaited.
